Yes, applicable sales tax or VAT will be collected when you complete your backer survey in Kickstarter’s Pledge Manager after the campaign ends. This ensures you pay only what’s legally required based on your shipping location and reward selection.

Will I be charged customs fees/tariffs?
Hopefully not. Our printers have facilities in the UK, USA and Australia, so we will be shipping internally in those countires. We are talking to them about shipping to other countries and will update this FAQ as we get better information. However, if you are uncertain, we recommend choosing ebook rewards.
As far as the add-ons are concerned, we are only offering them in the UK at the moment because that’s the only place we can guarantee to ship without issues.

Whose stories will be in the book?
We don’t know yet. Until the campaign ends, we will not know how much we can pay the writers. So we will not open for submissions until the campaign ends.

Will there be a Welsh language edition of the book?
We hope so, but professional translation is very expensive. We will have stretch goals to translate some of the stories, and if we hit some of those we will add Welsh versions to the ebook as we go along. If we hit the stretch goal for full translation then we will do a paper edition of the book, and if we get close we will look into getting a grant to finish the job.

Can I get a signed copy?
Because we will be shipping direct from the printers in the USA and Australia, which saves worrying about customs charges as well as being cheaper, we won’t be able to sign the books. Instead we are offering an add-on of a signed postcard which we will mail separately. It will be in an envelope, so the postal services won’t deface it.
Backers in the UK and EU will get signed books, but you can buy the postcard as well if you want.
As we do not know where our authors will be based, we can’t guarantee that they will all be able to sign, but you will get signatures from Roz & Jo, and as many of the authors as we can track down.

Is the translation of the title correct?
Good question. If you put “they are still here” into Google Translate, our title is not what you would get. And our title is certainly not how a person from Carmarthenshire would say that phrase. But Welsh, like many language, has dialects. And perhaps more than most languages it has poetry. Our main concern with the title was to show a connection to Dafydd Iwan’s song, and therefore we have used similar wording to him.
Having said that, Cheryl managed to make a stupid mistake with the title, which the sharp-eyed among you will be able to spot evidence of. If we get around to translating the stories, we will hire profesisonals.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
